ACCI’s staff is a group of dedicated individuals whose main goal is to help those in need of our services. Our Executive Director has over 20 years of experience in housing counseling. Below is some important information about our staff.
Robert has been American Credit Counseling Institute’s Executive Director since 1994. Prior to joining the agency, he worked for a number of institutions. He worked as a stock broker and financial advisor. He was also the co-owner of a building restoration and management syndication in charge of the supervision of employees and management of a number of buildings for rent, maintenance, restoration, and improvement for about 10 years. For American Credit Counseling Institute, he is not only the Executive Director, but he also enjoys doing housing counseling work as well. Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from Gettysburg College. He is married to Mildred Soto and has 4 adult children, 3 step children, and 4 grandchildren.

Mildred holds a Master’s degree from Capella University school of Business and a Bachelor’s degree from the school of education of the University of PR and completed the required accounting courses to become an auditor. She has worked as a math teacher, as a licensed real estate agent, office manager and co-owner doing sales and rentals of residential properties. She also worked as an auditor for the Office of the Inspector General for the Social Security Administration with the Federal government where she retired at the end of 2007. In 2012, she joined American Credit Counseling Institute as a Program Manager and housing counselor. She is married to Robert W. Ewing and has 3 adult children, 4 step children, and 4 grandchildren. Felix holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University and a Bachelors in Psychology from Ursinus College. He has worked in a variety of roles including Psychologist and administrator for several years and later became a Director of vocational services for persons with disabilities at a community-based organization, from which he retired. After retirement, he became a volunteer board member for American Credit Counseling Institute. In 2008, in response to the mortgage crisis, Felix became a housing counselor for ACCI where he has helped hundreds of families to save their homes and another large number of individuals to be prepared to become homeowners. He is married to Mary Ann Roy and has 7 children, 18 grandchildren, and 2 great-granddaughters.

Anthony earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Gettysburg College with concentration in accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in finance and accounting from Wilkes University. He has attended numerous business and managerial training seminars to keep up with the constant changes in tax law. Anthony is an accountant and has an accounting firm in Nescopeck, PA. He joined American Credit Counseling Institute (ACCI) in December 2008 as the Area Manager for the Pocono and Allentown regions to help the agency with the large number of people facing foreclosure and mortgage difficulties in the Pocono and Allentown regions. Anthony has served a large number of clients since he joined ACCI. He has three adult children. Anthony serves the areas of Allentown, Blakeslee, Nescopeck, and Hazleton.

Gifty holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Science and Technology. She has always had a passion for assisting people with their finances and has worked several years doing that. Previous roles include Financial Advisor, Licensed Enrollment Specialist, Research Analyst and Customer Service. Gifty joined ACCI in August of 2016 bringing her passion and experience to assist in counseling potential homeowners in making their dreams a reality and assisting homeowners in keeping their homes. She is married and lives with her husband and 3 children.
